7.10 What is the position of new tenants?

People who become new tenants of after transfer would [either] be offered a tenancy agreement with similar rights to those being offered to you [or an assured shorthold tenancy which would operate along similar lines to the introductory tenancies that the Council issues to all its new tenants]. However, the main difference would be that new tenants would not have the Right to Buy. New tenants may be eligible for the "Right to Acquire" which is a similar right to the Right to Buy (see above).
