Corner of Mansford Street

Located on the corner of Old Bethnal Green Road and Mansford Street, this site is perhaps the most under used site on the estate. There is great potential here to create a valuable recreation area for the surrounding area. The space, if divided into activity zones, could cater for a variety of recreational activities. Hard surfacing would be used because it is durable and only requires limited maintenance, however variations of texture and material would make the space more attractive. A canopy would create a focus point and a sense of place for the surrounding area.
